I will attach a picture that some of the relatives may not have seen. It is Grammas grandparents, Henry and Melinda Duncan Fentress, and their family down to the last 2. They had 13 children but one had died as infant.  Look at the back row and the girl standing next to the grown young man, is the one I believe to be Grandmammy.  I reached this conclusion by comparing to a picture which I know to be her.  Dorothy

 

John Calhoun Breckenridge Miles was born 11-14-1859 and died 10-18-1937. He was a son of Johnathan and Sarah Jane Matthews Miles. He married Dec -  -1882, Annie Mitchell born 2-14-1857 and died 6-20-1890.

They were the parents of Byron Miles born 11-29-1883 and died 3-16-1964 married 4-23-1906 Bertha Ellen Cheek born 11-15-1886 and died 6-21-1982.

Stella Miles born 12-16-1885 and died 7-10-1887

Sophia Miles born 4-18-1887 and died  7-20-1970, married  10-29-1903, Robert Marshall Wooster born 6-20-1881 died 6-23-1963.

John C B Miles married 2nd 2-8-1893, Lydia Fentress born 1-17-1860 and died  5-23-1939. Lydia was a daughter of Henry and Malinda Duncan Fentress

John and Lydia Miles are buried at Pligrim Church Cemetery near Short Creek Ky.

Four daughters were born to this union.

 

Bertha Miles born 4-9-1894 and died 1-27-1981 married 12-6-1911 William Scott Bradshaw born 12-1-1893 died 4-23-1968

Susie Miles was born 1-24-1896 died 12 –29 1974 married Martin Grant England born 6-14-93 and died 5-6-1952   (He was first cousin of Scott Bradshaw)

 

Sylva Miles born 8-4-1898 died 6-26-1970 married 11-25-1914, Rush bishop born 9-16-1892 and died  5-30-1983

 

Annie Mae Miles born 2-26-1902 died 5-4-2006, married 7-4-1921, James Anthony Bishop born 8-10-1902 died 1-25-1991 (Jim and Rush Bishop were brothers)

Morris Alvin Miles b. 4-12-1908  Married 1-14-1930 Vaneda Williams, This marriage produced 2 sons Morris  Alvin Jr. and David Lee

Thelma Irene Miles b. 4-30-1911 m. 12-24-1933, Marion Thomas, They became the parents of Nancy Ellen Thomas b. 11-10-1936

Thelma m. 2nd Keith McClluain (?sp.)

Ina Helen Miles b. 5-29-1916         d. 10-18-1916

Vivian Louise Miles b.6-3-1920   m. March 1943, George Wood

Robert and Sophia Miles Wooster were the parents of :

Jesse Francis Wooster b. 8-13-1903 m.10-23-1926, Vivian Wonderlin. They divorced and he married 11-22-1935 Myrtle Langston b. 11-28-1919, No issue from either marriage

Clyda Nellda Wooster b. 11-9-1906 m. 4-11-1922 Tollie Stone Lemons b. 11-23-1900

This union produced 9 children
