Courtney Johnson traveled to St. Louis over the weekend (11/7/09) to compete in the Athletic Nationals Cheer Competition. Cheer Zone took 4 teams to the competition and all 4 came home with National Championships placing first in their divisions. Courtney is a member of the Senior Level 5 team. Shirley Lore Beauchamp, 60 of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at her residence. She was a native of Butzbach, Germany. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Jones. She is survived by her husband, Richard S. Beauchamp; her mother, Lore Jones of Elizabethtown; two step sons, John Beauchamp of Louisville and Jerry Beauchamp of Falls of Rough; two step daughters, Robin Lynn Anderson of Florida and Kittie Compton of Falls of Rough; one sister, Christine Wiggins of Elizabethtown; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a niece, Lisa Wiggins of Elizabethtown and a great niece, Jasmine Clarkson of Elizabethtown. The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Ethan Kyle Johnson graduated from Grayson County High School on June 7th, 2009. After working the summer at Lafayette Golf Course, Ethan will attend Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, KY in the fall . He was awarded an academic scholarship and a golf scholarship from Lindsey Wilson. He is the son of Darla Johnson, the Grandson of John and Dorothy Buster, and the Great Grandson of Opal Bradshaw Beauchamp.
Brycen Dakota Tucker
was born 4-2-09 at 5:11 pm. He weighed 7lbs and 11 ozs and was 19 1/2" long.
Brycen's parents are Brittany and Dennis Tucker. He is the grandson of Darla
Johnson, the Great grandson of John and Dorothy Beauchamp Buster and the Great
Great Grandson of Opal Bradshaw Beauchamp (another 5 generations for our
family). Brycen also has a proud Uncle and Aunt, Ethan and Courney Johnson.

Johnson
attended the State DECA competition in Louisville on March 1st,
2nd, and 3rd. Courtney competed in a State event and was called on stage
finishing in the top 5. She was also selected to attend a Leadership Academy
while there. Ethan participated in a National event finishing 2nd. Ethan will
now travel to Anaheim, CA for National competition on April 28th. Ethan and
Courtney are the children of Darla Buster Johnson, the grandchildren of John and
Dorothy Beauchamp Buster and the great-grandchildren of Opal Bradshaw Beauchamp.

Brittany Buster and Dennis Tucker were married on May 14th 2008. They celebrated with a formal wedding on Nov 15th (her Grand-momma and Grand-daddy's 51st anniversary). Brittany is the daughter of Darla Johnson, Grand-daughter of John and Dorothy Buster and Great Grand-daughter of Opal Bradshaw Beauchamp.

Courtney
Johnson with Cheer Zone All Stars Jr Squad participated in the WSF Nationals in
Indianapolis in December. The squad was named National Champions in their
division. They also participated in the Athletic Nationals in St. Louis in
November where they were also named National Champions. The squad will be
traveling to Chattanooga in January. Courtney is the daughter of Darla Johnson,
the Grand-Daughter of John and Dorothy Buster and the Great-Grand-Daughter of
Opal Bradshaw Beauchamp.

Ethan, Courtney and Annie
competed in the Regional DECA Competition held on Western's Campus on January
31st. Ethan competed in a Sports and Entertainment Team Event and placed 3rd.
Courtney competed in DECA Creed and placed 2nd. Annie competed in Community
Service Project Team Event and placed 3rd. All three qualified to go to State
DECA which will be held at the Galt House in Lousiville March 11-13.

Thirty-six students from Grayson
County High School DECA chapter attended the State DECA Convention, at the Galt
House in Louisville, Ky., March 13-15. Twenty-five of these students qualified
for participation in the National convention to be held in Dallas, Tx. in late
April. Among these twenty-five were brother\sister team, Brittany Buster and
Ethan Johnson; who won first place in the field of Sports Entertainment.
Brittany and Ethan qualified for state competition by winning first place in the
regional competition, which was held in Bowling Green, Ky. in early Feburary.
