Mom passed away this
afternoon. She had breakfast and lunch and was doing fine but then a little
before 2:00 started having trouble breathing. We rushed her to the hospital but
she stopped breathing just before we got there. Emergency doctors could get no
response. Mom has been wanting to go home for some time although she couldn't
get straight where home was. She said her Mom and Dad would be worried about her
or that she had to get back to Grandma Kittie's. Tonight she is finally home
with her Mom and Dad and Grandma Kittie. Won't they have a wonderful Christmas
with Aunt Nell, Aunt Floss, Uncle Jack, Aunt Pauline, Aunt Wilma, Uncle Russell,
Evelyn, Hazel, and Teddy all looking down on their kids, grandkids,
great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids.

The Reflections of God
The silent stars in timeless
skies
The wonderment in children's eyes
The Autumn haze, the breath of Spring
The chirping song the crickets sing
A rose bud in a slender vase
Are all reflections of God's face.
Gene - Found in some of Mom's keepsakes.
All my life I have heard family talk about a "right smart" of this or that. Someone had a "right smart" of money or the field made a "right smart" of hay. I guess they put a "right smart" of fertilizer on it. It must have happened after Sunday dinner one day but we found a note in Mom's keepsakes that explained how much a "right smart" really is. As you know there wasn't many things the Bradshaws couldn't figure out when they got their heads together. Click on the header to see what they came up with.

SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND
Somewhere in England
On far distant shore,
Somewhere in England
The one I adore.
Tho dark be the
evening
And bombs fill the air,
My love will protect him
While he's over there.
His lighthearted
spirit
So carefree and gay,
God grant he may keep it
To bring home some day.
And 'midst all the
darkness
And horror of war,
Lord let him remember
What
Home and his loved ones
Afar from the fray,
A church in the Hollow
Where folks kne
Somewhere in England
The boy that I love;
