The Lahue-Bradshaw Cemetery Association and the members of the Bradshaw Family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the Imogene Bradshaw Day family for their large contribution to the Cemetery Fund.  The proceeds from the estate yard sale were given to the Lahue-Bradshaw Cemetery Association.  This was a very generous thing for the family to do for the maintenance of the cemetery. The Bradshaw Family also had a bake sale in conjunction with the yard sale. Our thanks go out to everyone who participated or helped in any way to make this such a success.

Clean up 2010
After raining over night, the sun came out Saturday morning for the work day and meeting at the Cemetery and then the rain came back in the afternoon. With the good turnout and not too much to do, we got the cleanup and meeting done before the rains returned. Thank you to all who came out. We had a good day of visiting.

Clean up 2009

What a great day! I thought I would supervise but everyone was too busy to listen. Some of the in-laws say you can't supervise a Bradshaw but I like to believe we work hard and know what we are doing so we don't need supervision. I expected to get the cemetery cleaned up and maybe some of the entrance but with the great turn-out and the help of Benny's tractor, we got everything in pretty good shape. We all had a good time working and visiting. Thank you everyone that came to work, visit, and bring snacks. It was good to see Dennis out of the house and I am glad that Uncle Charlie, Aunt Dallas, Mom, and Aunt Opal could be there.

Now will you listen?

Dorothy sent me to help you hold up the post.

If I get any fatter I'll have to have a bigger mower

Of course I know yogi

I used to climb any tree but now it takes a tractor to lift me up.

You been farming long?

Dennis is all smiles to be able to get out

Wow! What a difference.

April 26, 2008 - Annual Meeting Minutes

The Lahue-Bradshaw Cemetery Association met at the cemetery April 26, 2008 at 9:00am for the annual cleanup with an association meeting to follow.
Present were: Opal Beauchamp, John and Dorothy Buster, Gene Day, Boyd Day, Beverly Thomas, Bennie Day, Dallas Tubb, Dennis Tubb, Sheila Tubb Meredith, David Meredith, Charlie Blain, Terry Blain, Faye Stewart, Paula Burden and Brandy Lee and friend.
Most of the cleanup consisted of removing an old and very large cedar tree that had fallen during a storm onto a portion of the new fence. It was decided that there was enough new fence left over to repair the damaged portion.
The business meeting was called to order at 10:30am by Vice-President Dorothy Buster in the absence of President Bill Day. Minutes were read by Sec/Treas Faye Stewart of the previous meeting. She reported that she had combined a $1000.00, $1800.00 and a $500.00 CD making a total of $3400.00 CD and placed it at The Cecilian Bank to receive a better rate. The 2 other ones will be moved when they come due at the Bank of Caneyville to The Cecilian Bank also. The balance in the checking account at the Leitchfield Deposit Bank at the present time is $866.81. She also reported that Mike Blain will once again be doing the mowing of the cemetery at a rate of $30.00 per mowing.
There was discussion once again of getting some type of sign for the cemetery. Bennie Day is to check with the Grayson Co. Trade School about making one and the cost and Faye Stewart is to check with Crume’s Monuments about making a monument type.
Motion was made by Sheila Meredith, seconded by Paula Burden to adjourn. Everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch and fellowship before leaving.
Next meeting will be held the last Saturday in April, 2009.
