Reunion 2016

Reunion 2014

The first photo is not very clear but can someone help me. I don't think I have seen her before. Must be a newcomer. That's Derrick behind her, maybe he knows.

Reunion 2011

Well Sunday was 18 years at Southern Oakes and I thought it was going to rain on lunch for the first time. Lunch time was 12:30 and it started raining at 12:00. We all ran for cover and threw plastic over the food. But I guess the Bradshaws in heaven were watching over us because it stopped raining by 12:30 and we uncovered the food and had lunch only a little late. I had a great day of visiting and almost forgot to eat.  I want to say thank you to all who helped to make this another successful and fun reunion. Again we had some cousins here for the first time and some new cousins as well. We were sorry to hear that Virginia fell and broke her leg early in the morning before coming down with Ida Sue. We set a new attendance record again this year in spite of the rain. Cleaning up the sign in list after Sheila sent me several in Aunt Dallas' family that had not signed the list, I come up with 187,  The link to the list is below. Please check it out and send me any corrections or additions.

Again, thanks to everyone who came and helped to make it another great reunion.

Reunion 2010

First Generation at Reunion 2010

Another fantastic reunion! 185 cousins - a new record again - and 60 did not return from last year. That's almost 80 here that were not last year. Eight new babies and some cousins visiting the reunion for the first time in many years but the big turnout was mostly local cousins that came in the perfect weather. Also some cousins living far away that we don't get to see very often. So glad to see Barry Miller and Debbie this year and Virginia and her family again. We had 11 from Aunt Ida's family. I intended to get a picture of all the 1st generation together but failed to get it. I think all but 3 of that generation were present. I get busy and don’t take enough pictures to document everyone at the reunion. Please send me your favorite photos taken at the reunion.

The food was great as always but the line took too long this year. I think next year we need to run two food lines, one on each side of the trailer. Should cut the wait time almost in half. Please send me any other suggestions you have to improve the reunion. We have doubled in size in the last few years.

Thank you for bringing and setting up tables, chairs, and canopies, bringing the hay trailer for the food, bringing food and drinks - all those things necessary so we can enjoy a day of visiting and remembering the "good ol days". With days like this, however, I think we are living the "good ol days" now! Thanks to those who helped with cleaning up afterward and the many other things that you did over the last few weeks to get ready for the reunion. We could not do it without all that help. Thank you to all who have helped make the reunion a success for over 50 years.

Reunion 2009

Another fantastic reunion! 166 cousins - a new record again - and several new cousins most of us had not met before. New babies and some cousins visiting the reunion for the first time. Also some cousins living far away that we don't get to see very often.

We had cousins from Michigan, Louisiana, Northern Indiana, Chicago, and Tennessee, as well as all around Kentucky - even Short Creek. The family tree display that Beverly prepared was a big hit and also the musical instruments that Edward brought to show and play along with others. I liked the singing too. Many of you missed the faster music by John William and David inside the house. It was great! I didn't know my piano would do that. Everyone agreed that the new colt, Scarlet, was prettier than Beau was last year but then she's a girl. What do you expect?

We had such a good time visiting that we didn't get as many pictures as usual. I hope some others got some good ones and will send them to me to post. Especially the babies. Notice I don't have any of the new additions to the Bradshaw Clan. Please send me any you have.

Thank you to all who helped make the day successful - setting up tables, chairs, and canopies, bringing the hay trailer for the food, bringing food and drinks, inviting folks to come, cleaning up afterward, loading up the tables and chairs to take back to the barn, and the many other things that you did over the last few weeks to get ready for the reunion. We could not do it without all that help, but the place does not make the reunion. It is all the Bradshaws coming to visit, to remember, and to catch up, that has made the reunion so special for over 50 years.

Sisters, Cousins, Cousins, and more Cousins!

Wow! What a great day. I had a ball, I don't know about the rest of you. I got to visit with cousins I had not seen in 40+ years, some I had never met, and some I see often. The day just wasn't long enough. Sorry I didn't get to talk to some of you more. Looking at the list of 152 people here there were a few that I missed altogether. Thanks for coming, everyone, and let's start planning for next year. We could throw in a few visits in between. We had 152 sign in - up from 102 last year. Please review the list and send me any additions or corrections.

And Babies too!

Kids liked Beau, the baby colt and Claire got to ride Daisy, big Kids too.

Someone thought to bring family already gone home
and finally cousins Laura and Jennifer and Jennifer and Laura got together
